The Ski Safari is best suited for intermediate to advanced skiers. You must be comfortable skiing confidently and controlling your speed on all groomed red runs (intermediate/advanced) and possess the stamina to ski for a full day.

While the focus can be tailored to groomers, the ability to handle varied snow conditions and terrain is highly beneficial for maximizing the adventure and accessing the entire valley.

What equipment is necessary?

For a full-day safari, we strongly recommend high-quality, comfortable ski equipment. If you plan on exploring off-piste terrain, appropriate safety equipment (transceiver, probe, shovel) is mandatory for the group, and your guide will ensure you have the necessary safety briefing and knowledge.

If you do not own safety gear, we can assist in arranging rentals through our trusted local partners. For maximum versatility, a ski with a mid-width waist (around 95-105mm) is often ideal.

How many people can be in a group?

To maintain the bespoke quality and ensure safety and efficiency, the ideal group size is 1 to 6 people. This allows the guide to maintain personal attention, manage the group's pace effectively, and ensure everyone gets the most out of the experience. For safety reasons, especially in off-piste areas, we strictly adhere to certified instructor-to-client ratios.

Is the ski pass included?

The single Val d'Anniviers ski pass is not included in the guide fee, as clients often have multi-day passes or season passes. However, your guide will confirm exactly which pass is needed for the day's itinerary and can advise on the best purchase option for your trip duration, ensuring you don't overpay for coverage you don't need.
